about

Stories unfold where I blend images with life.

I am

Julie Landrieu, photographer, horse lover, and well-being advocate.

From a young age, I can spend hours just watching — at the beach, in the streets, on television — quietly following how light and gestures turn into stories.

I grew up in Knokke-Heist, where gymnastics and horses were my first passions, and photography became my way to express what I saw and felt. Over time, my passions evolved into a career that blends visual storytelling, well-being, and personal growth. Three worlds that, for me, are deeply intertwined.

A turning point came during a trip to Southeast Asia. While diving, I discovered not only the underwater world, but also a deeper connection with myself and others. This experience inspired me to focus my work on authentic expression and well-being. This curiosity and presence guide everything I create.

What I do

Photography

Photography has always been my way of observing life, of telling stories without having to explain them. My work moves between editorial and commercial projects, creative explorations, and quiet portraits of people, animals and places.

One of the assignments that stayed with me was a trip to Wyoming, where I followed cowboys driving cattle through vast open land. Their rhythm, patience and bond with nature reminded me how small we are in the story of the earth.

Well-being & Personal Growth

Alongside photography, I’m drawn to everything that brings us closer to balance: yoga, positive training, and natural hoof care among them. These practices teach me presence, softness and awareness, qualities that often find their way back into my work.

I once had a student tell me, after class, that my guidance helped him “find life again.” Moments like that remind me why I do what I do: not to teach, but to share what it means to be human. How I work flows from what I value most: authenticity, intention, and growth.

What guides me

My work and the way I live are guided by three principles:

Authenticity — staying close to what feels real, in both work and connection.
Intention — doing things with purpose, not pressure.
Growth — learning, refining, and evolving, for the benefit of others and myself.
