It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

24 March 2025
Take off with Hainan Airlines to Peking and connecting flight to Bangkok.
Leaving Belgium.
Love me a good wing.
Photo of an airplane wing viewed from the window at night, with a dark sky and faint cloud cover below.
Aerial view of the ocean with a distant landmass on the horizon under a blue sky.
Wind mills.
25 March 2025
Arriving in Bangkok, getting a massage first thing and staying close to Siam Station.
Had a little nap in China.
Always love beautiful cloud art.
Buckle up for touch down.
A Thai massage close to Siam BTS station. I paid 400 baht for an hour.
MBK Center has changed quite a bit the last time I was here. From the outside.
The moody entrance to my lovely hotel down the street. It's quite safe.
Another walk along the BTS line and Airportlink..
26 March 2025
Getting books at bookstore Kinokuniya in Siam Paragon and do some writing in a beautiful flagship Starbucks location.
The cute hotel cat on the porch.
Love the graffiti.
Always a sigh of bliss when I find it again.
Get some writing done.
Absolutely infatuated with this.
Fibonacci anyone?
Sunset peeking through the building.
View from the hotel rooftop.
More evening impressions.
Time perception is already shifting.
Blurred photo of three cars driving at night, viewed from above, with the middle car being silver or gray, the left car red, and the right car dark-colored.
Amazing tree growing amidst a concrete neighbourhood and a neon light.
Cats are everywhere.
As are wires.
I wonder what this building will look like.
27 March 2025
Moved to different part of Bangkok to have Belgian chocolate.
As you can see, this was delicious.
There was a kite festival.
The king of Thailand in building size.
28 March 2025
The day the earth moved.
From the 56th floor the world looks like Lego.
Looking to my left.
Looking to my right.
Enjoying a cappuccino at the pool.
City skyline with two tall modern skyscrapers with gold accents, viewed from a balcony with glass railings and wood decking, under a clear blue sky.
My first dragon!
And all of a sudden, the earth moved.
Not quite sure what happened yet, I walked back to the hotel.
Enjoying another rooted tree.
Street scene showing a green and yellow taxi on a road with buildings in the background. There are street signs in Thai and English indicating the location as Phadung Krung Kasem in Bangkok, Thailand. The scene includes decorative white railings and lamps, with a small canal or drainage below the bridge.
Cats are everywhere.
Evacuated from the pool.
We were not allowed in the hotel for hours.
The birds were intrigued as well.
People waiting and sitting on the sidewalk near a tree and parked cars, with a historic building in the background.
People standing outdoors on a city sidewalk, some wearing robes, others in casual or professional attire, with a person kneeling in the background.
Crowd of people standing on a sidewalk under trees in front of a modern building with glass windows; some are wearing uniforms and face masks.
The hospital next to the hotel was evacuated as well.
Long line of people waiting outside a building, with trees and city buildings in the background, and a small vehicle parked on the street.
A busy urban street scene with pedestrians waiting to cross, a motorcyclist on the right, and tall modern buildings in the background under a clear blue sky.
City street with a crowd of people waiting to cross, tall buildings in the background, and vehicles on the road, sunny day.
Around 6pm we could enter the hotel again and have a complimentary dinner. Some debris in the pool reminded us of what happened that day.
A tall modern building with numerous rounded balconies with balustrades, seen from below against a clear blue sky.
29 March 2025
Leaving Bangkok.
Look close and you will notice this building is abandoned.
A tall, black office building with modern architecture surrounded by other buildings in a cityscape.
Some more Lego meets Micro Machines world mashup.
Boss level tennis.
A hotel room self portrait before I close the door.
But first one final coffee.
And then with a taxi to the infamous Kao San Road to make my way to the south.
30 March 2025
Exhausting yet satisfying hours long transfer. Being on the road is so enjoyable.
I have no idea what the purpose other than to draw my attention and get photographed.
This is the old way of travelling. Almost no amenities, except for more chance to actually talk to a stranger.
I have a thing for broken light bulbs.
And coffee, or something like it.
Seeing the sun rise.
A gas station with a backyard of palm trees.
A gas station canopy with a mountain of bottled water stacked on a small platform outside, with lush green palm trees and a concrete fence in the background.
We made it to the island! The sun has set.
31 March 2025
We are here to dive. And explore Koh Phi Phi. In 2004 it was struck by the tsunami.
Cats are everywhere. Inside and outside the 7 Eleven.
Sleeping cat at a dive shop.
Having breakfast for champions here. The self service laundromats are new. I still prefer to give my laundry to the hostel host.
The image we have all seen on stock sites and posters.
Diving selfie. The mask is forever linked to my divemaster traineeship I did on Bali in 2014.
For the first dive we enter a cavern, not bad.
Good exercise for the buoyancy in this shallow water.
The rooftop of the cavern.
1 April 2025
Coconut gallore and found me some treasure.
A glorious coconut. Electrolytes, healthy fats and so much more.
Underwater view of a coral reef with various corals and fish, including a dark-colored fish near the center.
Underwater scene showing rocks, coral, a black and blue banded sea snake, and fish in a coral reef ecosystem.
A well hidden stingray.
Stingray is cool.

A fish swimming underwater near a rocky formation with a vibrant blue background.
An anemone and its inhabitants.
Underwater scene featuring a large coral and two clownfish swimming near its tentacles.
I saw somrthing shiny in the sand. A tourist must have dropped it from a boat minutes before. It died.
Underwater scene showing coral reef, fish, and a rocky formation.
Underwater scene showing colorful coral reef with various coral formations and marine life.
When people want a taste of diving, a dive master or instructor can hold the tanks and show the underwater world.

People relaxing on a sandy beach with green hills and a cloudy sky in the background.
A coastal scene during low tide with boats on the sand, people walking, and mountains in the background under a partly cloudy sky.
2 April 2025
Mountain top views and
leaving Koh Phi Phi.
Sunrise from Koh Phi Phi's highest point. In December 2004 the tsunami wiped away all the buildings down there.
I tried recreating the array of colours I could see. The camera does not capture the same colours as our human eye.
Some beautiful rocks where we can sit to enjoy the view.
Where the ocean transcends into the sky.
Cats are everywhere.
For those who still sends post cards (I personally do and love getting them).
On my way back to the hostel, a pack of monkeys raided the centre. Caution advised.
Golde Bee Phi Phi, my guesthouse. No fancy stuff, but old skool. Twenty somethings don't want to come here haha.
Getting the ferry back to mainland Thailand.
Storm at sea is quite intense, but so beautiful.
First time it can be scary and easy to get seasick, so get your motion sickness kit!
Getting out of the storm.
We got our view back.
Charmed by this cup of cappuccino (sic).
3 April 2025
Getting in the car in Bangkok
to Kanchanaburi.
I love Suvarnabhumi Airport, so much glass and lines.
It's a huge airport, but it is easy to find your way and meeting points.
An entrance bridge to the departures floor.
Getting around by car adds to the local living feel. Let's get groceries.
Beware of elephants crossing.
4 April 2025
Finally, getting on horseback to do some scene exploring.
Always drawn to water.
Another highlight of the trip: horse riding!
Don't mind my attire. I travel light, choices must be made.
Love these little buggers.
5 April 2025
Day two of horseback and
Belgian encounter.
Dog of the house.
Cat of the house. Everywhere.
Happy place.
Left the ranch and arrived at glamping with train wagons. As cats, Belgium is everywhere.
Gorgeous view and boardwalk.
She must have gotten amazing footage.
I love watching people.
And I love Toothless.
7 April 2025
Getting back to the real world and stay on remote glamping site.
The watch is still going, but it would be its final day.
Kanchanaburi was a war zone during during World War II and you can still see many places referencing to that time.
A stray dog minding its own business.
Contrasts in Thailand are always luring around the corner, quite literally.
House for rent.
Thailand has invested in some excellent bike roads.
A dog having the time of his life in this moment.
Sunsets are never boring.
Nor are the colours.
A new scene arises with fluorescents.
